A food grade anti foam agent (Dimethylpolysilocane) which reduces foam formation by reducing surface tension.
Add 5-10 drops during the boil to prevent messy boil overs or add a few drops to your fermenter to stop the krausen from a very active fermentation going into your airlock or blow-off tube.
This anti foam agent will not impact the head retention of your final beer as it will be adsorbed onto the yeast and left in the fermenter during transfer.
Anti foam agents are also commonly added to distillation washes to avoid boil overs and puking of the column.
For best results, shake vigorously before use.
